Religion and virtue aren't necessarily related. Many people have a moral code that fosters love, service and doing good for others without a deity around which that code revolves. Atheists for Christ could just as easily be Atheists for Buddha, Atheists . . .
Religion and virtue aren't necessarily related. Many people have a moral code that fosters love, service and doing good for others without a deity around which that code revolves. Atheists for Christ could just as easily be Atheists for Buddha, Atheists for Krishna or Atheists for Jahweh.
Too often, atheism is considered synonymous with a lack of morals, integrity or honesty. Or at the very least, a life of atheism is one without direction, purpose and meaning. What is your inspiration? What shapes how you act? How you relate to others, atheist or not? As the creator of the group, I do ask this of you: Please, keep the title in mind. Discussions between atheists and theists often turn ugly. Let's recognize this and try to avoid name-calling and tantrums. Dialogue may get heated – but, please, respectful. Group Stats
